Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana

January 1, 2017

Today, New Year’s Day 2017, marks the first day in the history of a newly formed Goodwill entity – Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana. Built upon the decades of success, innovation and community impact by the former Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana and Goodwill of Southern Indiana, the merged organization will continue the work of changing lives by empowering Hoosiers to increase their independence and reach their potential through education, health and employment.

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is led by President and CEO Kent A. Kramer. Speaking this past August, Kramer stated, “There are great things happening in both regions, and I’m excited to start working together to build our new Goodwill.”
Southern Indiana CEO Candy Barksdale, now retired, will remain as a consultant to the organization through June 30, 2017.

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana serves 39 counties and operates more than 70 retail locations, as well as charter schools for adults and youth, a maternal-child health program, a child care center and more. Visit goodwillindy.org to learn more.
